Vernice Henry

Mrs. Vernice Henry, 73, of Osceola, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 in Jonesboro.

She was a homemaker and an usher at St. Mark A.M.E. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Hattie Sales; her husband, Clyde Henry; one sister, Beulah Henry; and two brothers, Henry Childs and T.J. Shayer.

She leaves behind one daughter, Gloria (and Willie) Hughes of Osceola;

Three grandchildren, Jacqueline Hughes and Willie (and Phylynese) Hughes Jr., both of Osceola, and Anthony (and Lashonda) Hughes of Jonesboro; and

Ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at St. Mark A.M.E. Church in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola with the Rev. Larry Strong officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
