Effie Y. Gonzales

Effie Y. Gonzales, 74, of Blytheville, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Manila Nursing Center. Born in Black Oak, Miss., to Mancel and Lois Ware Adair, she was a resident of Blytheville most of her life and of the Baptist Faith.

Ms. Gonzales worked as an installer of brake cables at ACCO Manufacturing. She loved walking, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Travis Adair, Mancel Wade Adair, Willard E. Adair and Daniel Adair.

She leaves her children, Steve and Renia Gonzales and Pamela and O.J. Luttrull of Gosnell, Beverly Gonzales of Blytheville, and Paula Hunt of Dallas;

Her grandchildren, Joey and Sarah Gonzales, Jennifer Gonzales, and Brooke Gonzales, all of Gosnell, Michelle Fulks and Chad Curry and Shawn Fulks, all of Charleston, S.C., Crissy and Mike Markwas of Moundsville, W.V., Tori and T.Y. Hamilton of Dallas;

Her great-grandchildren, Gabe Gonzales, Jenna Gonzales, Parker Gonzales, Maddie Gonzales, Gaven Gonzales, Sloan Jayden Curry, Hudson Markwas and Jaslyn Hamilton

Her brothers, Mark and (and Pat) Adair of Mountain View, and Charles "Buddy" Adair of Walnut Ridge;

Her sisters, Evelyn "Sister" Adams of Greenville, Miss., Ruby and Don Van Deryte and Erlene Stack, all of Navarro; and

Sister-in-law, Shirley Adair of Gosnell.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell King Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be emailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
