Jewell Sims

Jewell Sims, 82, of Marked Tree, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born May 24, 1929 in Newport, Mrs. Sims had been a factory worker, and was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses.

Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur A. and Ora Turnbough, and her husband, Obie Ray "Red" Sims.

Survivors include three daughters, Lou Harsin of Tyronza, Audrey Blagg of Tyronza and Bobbie Criswell of West Memphis; and

Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, with burial at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree. Visitation was Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza.
