Mrs. Betty L. Sailors, 70, of Blytheville passed from this life Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born in Newport to Charles and Rebal Bailey Tanner, she was a retired Quality Control/Inspector at Milwaukee Tool and attended First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett, Mo.

Betty went on to pursue a business degree and succeeded in making the Presidents and Dean's List during her time at Mississippi County Community College. She supported the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Betty was a devoted and loving wife for 52 years. She was the absolute best mother in the world, who adored her children and grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters were always close to her heart, as were her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Verlen Tanner; and a sister, Patricia Downing.

She leaves her husband, Watson "Pete" Sailors of the home;

Her children, Regina Houseman-Lodrigue of Cardwell, Mo., David Sailors of St. Louis, Michelle Elmore of Paragould, Tina Murray of Plano, Texas, Annette Ross and her husband, Joe, of Florence, S.C., and Lynn Sailors of Blytheville;

Four brothers, Jimmy Tanner and Allen Tanner and his wife, Mitzi, all of Kennett, Dean Tanner and his wife, Jing Jing, of Dubai, UAE, and Paul Tanner of Ward, Ark.;

Three sisters, Lana Moore and her husband, Jim, and Gail Fleming, both of Ward, and Elizabeth Tanner of Champagne, Ill., and half-sister, Charlene Watson of Hot Springs.

A Gathering of Friends to celebrate the life of Betty will be begin at 1 p.m. Saturday Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Lloyd officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until time for service. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
