Ernest Edgin

Mr. Ernest Edgin, 86, of Leachville, passed from this life, Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born at Leachville, he was the son of the late Robert and Jessie Edgin and had been a lifelong area resident. He was the former owner and operator of Edgin's Auto Body Shop in Leachville, and was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Bazzill Edgin; six brothers, Henry Edgin, Lewis Edgin, Jack Edgin, Bart Edgin, Roy Edgin, George Edgin; and five sisters, Rachel Wright, Myrtle Overbea, Belle Connell, Ellen Edgin, and Christeen Littlefield.

Ernest will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend to all.

He leaves four sons and daughters-in-law; Donald and Bonnie Edgin of Paragould, Lloyd and Shelia Edgin of Leachville, Mark and Carrie Edgin of Farley, Iowa, and Danny and Debbie Tracer of Russellville;

One daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Gerald Carmichael of Leachville;

One sister, Judy Martin of St. Charles, Mo.; and

Sixteen grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Lynn Ables officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Tommy Crawford, Josh Edgin, Randy Vickers, Justin Noblin, Charlie Lambert, and Lannie Edgin. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
