Community makes toy drive a success
To the editor:
The employees of Farmers Bank & Trust would like to thank all our wonderful customers who donated toys and money to our annual toy drive for The Foster children here in Mississippi County and for The Haven.
Considering the economy, it was another huge success!
We would like to thank Ritter Communications and The Courier News for the advertising, Cotton Classic Car Club, Oscar's Auto Salvage and Danny Moore, Girl Scout Troup 3275, Harvest Time Tabernacle, First Baptist Church, and many other customers who made donations.
I would also like to thank Glodine Brown and William King for their much-needed help this year, all our employees who donated toys and money, and last but not least, Pat and Danny Harris, who are always there to see these toys are picked up, sorted and delivered. They are the ones who brought my attention to helping these children, and I have enjoyed it so much over the years, and hopefully, for years to come.
Thanks again to our fine community and hope all have a wonderful New Year.
