Joseph A. Saliba Jr.

Mr. Joseph A. Saliba Jr., 84, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Los Angeles, passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011.

He was born in Blytheville to the late Dr. Joseph A. and Akabir Saliba. Joseph graduated from Louisiana State University and was an avid "Tiger" fan to the end. He moved to Florida in 1986, after retiring from Union Oil of California.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Saliba; and sister, Vera Saliba Favati.

He leaves a brother, Albert Saliba of Sarasota, Fla.; and

A sister, Alice Saliba Carlson of Sandersville, Ga.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis FitzPatrick officiating.
