Patricia "Pat" Davis, age 72 of Manila, went to be with her heavenly father Saturday morning, Dec. 17, 2011. She was born to Viola and Wade Owens of Lost Cane on Sept. 25, 1939.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Ben Davis of the home; a daughter, Toshya Moore and fiancé Don Alberda, and a son, Tony and wife Lovon Davis, all of Jonesboro. Pat was blessed with four grandchildren, Amiee and husband Jeremy Eldrod and Johnathan and wife Annette Moore, Ashley Foltz and Chelsea Davis. Great-grandchildren are Bailee, Kinley and Wadynn Moore with Addison Patricia Grace Eldrod expected to arrive in January and a fifth great-grandchild due later in 2012.

Pat was an active member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she considered the members her extended family.

Pat owned and operated a daycare in her home for more than 30 years where she raised many of the area children as her own. After retiring from daycare work, she was the customer service representative at Freds in Manila.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Allen Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
