Lillian Rodgers Rushing

Mrs. Lillian Rodgers Rushing, 94, of Millington, Tenn., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. She was born April 6, 1917, to M.H. and Lillian Mead, who preceded her in death. She was member of First Baptist Church in Blytheville for 48 years before moving to Millington. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a leader in Explorer Bible study for seven years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Rushing; one daughter, Helen Norman, one son, James Raymond Norman; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Mrs. Rushing leaves one daughter, Judy Rushing Lambert of Millington;

One sister, Peggy Boatwright of Millington;

One grandson, one granddaughter and one special granddaughter, Melissa McGee;

As well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville. The family received visitors Friday at the Millington Chapel.
