Rebecca Jackson

Mrs. Rebecca Jackson, 92, of Memphis, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at her home in Memphis. Born in Greenwood, Miss., she moved to Blytheville many years ago before moving to Memphis in 1968. While living in Blytheville she worked at Blytheville Laundry and Nu-Way Laundry.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon; three daughters, Eddie Belle Hunter, Myra Bell and Lillie Jackson; and two sons, Leon Jackson Jr. and Roy Chester Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson leaves four daughters, Elizabeth Bryant of Cleveland, Ohio, Myrtle Wooldridge of Chicago, Adline King and her husband Henry of Blytheville and Doris Jackson;

Seven sons, Harvey D. Jackson, Curtis Jackson and the Rev. Ezell Jackson of Blytheville, Kirby Jackson, Alvin Jackson and Sylvester Jackson, all of Memphis, and Charles Jackson of St. Louis; and

One hundred-one grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Prince of Peace Church in Blytheville with the Rev. Timothy J. Rogers, pastor. The Rev. Patrick Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home in Blytheville.
