Beulah Spencer

Beulah Spencer, 92, of Asheville, N.C., formerly of Manila, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at the Pisgah Manor Health Care Center in Candler, N.C. Born in Myrtle, Miss., she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Tucker Perkins and had lived much of her life in St. Louis, Mo., and Manila. She was the widow of Mr. Franklin Spencer and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Manila.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Gary Spencer.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Charlene Spencer of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Richard Kinsland of Asheville, N.C.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Richard Kinsland officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.

The family received visitors Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
