Catherine Ellen Barnes

Catherine Ellen Barnes, 64, of Paragould, passed from this life Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church in Paragould. She was a loving wife, mom and mawmaw. She touched everyone with her beautiful smile and her kindness. She blessed not only her family but those around her. She was employed at Greene County Tech for 33 years. She was a bus driver and painter. She will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Wells of Blytheville, and four brothers, Don and Buddy Wells of Blytheville, Leon Wells of Paragould, and Charles Wells of Pensecola, Fla.

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Fred Barnes of Paragould;

Her daughter, Debbie Rogers;

Her sons Jimmie Barnes and spouse Tonya, and Alan Barnes, all of Paragould;

Her grandchildren, Christopher Rogers and spouse Holly of Jonesboro, and Brandon Rogers and spouse Demetra, Courtney, Kacey, Cody, Taylor and Brooke Barnes, all of Paragould;

Her brother and sisters-in-law, Roy and Shirley Wells of Blytheville and Brenda Wells of Pensecola, Fla.; and

Nieces, nephews and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould. The celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
