Mr. Willie B. Wilson Sr., 85, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at his home in Osceola. Born Sept. 18, 1926, in Haynes, to the late William Wilson and Carrie Bell, he was of the Baptist faith and a retired oil mill worker.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Wilson; one son, Jeff Denham; two sisters, Willie Patton and Myrtle Cornwell; and three brothers, Lenny Wilson, Clarence Wilson and Veralyn Burnside.

Mr. Wilson leaves his wife, Lillie Wilson of Osceola;

Seven daughters, Lois Gregory of Wilson, Jennifer Pitts of Lyons, Miss., Deborah Wayne of San Antonio, Texas, Annette Wilson of Marion, Sheila Wilson and Patricia Bingham of Osceola and Stephanie Gillon of Memphis;

Three sons, Larry Taylor of Bassett, Willie B. Wilson Jr. and Michael Wilson of Osceola;

Two sisters, Cleatrice Bingham of Forrest City and Evalina Wilson of St. Louis;

One brother, Tom Paris of Detroit; and

Twenty-five grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with the Rev. Waldo Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
