Louis Bedford Jr.

Mr. Louis Bedford Jr., 61, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born Aug. 13, 1950, to the late Louis Bedford Sr. and the late Virgie Morris Bedford, he was retired from the Blytheville School District and of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Bedford leaves his wife, Shirley Bernice Aldridge Bedford of Milwaukee, Wisc.;

Two daughters, Lynn Caprice Nevils of St. Louis and Sherice Mona Bedford of Milwaukee;

Four sons, Charles Bedford, Bobby Bedford, Roy Bedford and Aaron Bedford of Milwaukee;

Four sisters, Ruby Bedford Robinson of Detroit, Vessie Bedford Williams of Chesapeake, Va., Mary Lee Bedford Thomas of Bellville, Ill., and Lisa Bedford Guy of Blytheville;

Three brothers, James Barner of Joiner, John L. Bedford and James E. Bedford of Blytheville; and

A special friend and caretaker, Kathy Robinson, and her daughter, Lakeeta Dawson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Church with the Rev. Carl Guy Sr. and pastor Timothy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home.
