Betty June Sims Wilmoth

Betty June Sims Wilmoth, 58 of Leachville, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., after a brave battle with cancer. Born Aug. 12, 1953, in Harrisburg, Ark., she was the daughter of Allan and Billie Forster Sims and had been a long-time area resident. Mrs. Wilmoth collected dolls, enjoyed sewing, hunting and fishing. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Victor Wilmoth of the home; two sons, Victor Wilmoth, Jr. of Ontario, Oregon, and John Wilmoth of Kennett, Mo.; one daughter, Penny Dollars and husband Jesse A. of Paragould, Ark.; her mother, Billie June Forster Sims of Paragould, Ark.; two brothers: Allan W. Sims, Jr. of Arbyrd, Mo., and Jerry Don Sims of Paragould, Ark.; one sister, Margaret McCracken of Rector, Ark. Mrs. Wilmoth also leaves five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Wilmoth was preceded in death by her father, Allan W. Sims; a brother, Charlie E. Sims; and a sister, Dorma Sessums.

The family has requested a private burial and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
