Eugene Ford

Mr. Eugene Rivers Ford, 56, of Blytheville, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.

Mr. Ford was born in Blytheville to George C. and Jesse Nelle Dickinson Ford Jr., who preceded him in death. He was an accomplished musician who taught himself how to play the guitar. He also loved to repair things, from watches, clocks, electronics and even cars, and could fix anything. His family was the most important thing in the world to him and he loved to cook for them. Eugene was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Debra Frazer Ford, of Blytheville;

His children, Jessica Eldridge and her husband, Edd, of Armorel, and Eugene Rivers Ford Jr. and Jessica Loyd of Blytheville;

A brother, Clay Ford of Blytheville;

A sister, Penny Lorman of Lafayette, LA;

The loves of his life, his grandchildren, Sabrina Nicole Eldridge, Edd Jay Eldridge IV, Harris Frazer Eldridge and Kauri Loyd;

His father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Madge Frazer of Blytheville; and

A host of other family and friends that loved him dearly. We love and miss you Dad!

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Frazer Cemetery in Hermandale, Mo.
