Ms. Deborah Marlene Brown, 54, a lifelong resident of Kennett, Mo., died on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Mo.. Ms. Brown was born on July 24, 1957, in Kennett to the late D.W. Morris and Herma Jean Sharp. She was a member of the Hope and Glory Church, loved to read the Bible, writing, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Herma Sharp; three sons, Gregory Swords of Burleson, Tenn., Jason Morris of Kennett, and Jonathan Morris of Kennett; one daughter, Deborah Simmons of Kennett; two brothers, Gary Morris of Malden, Mo., and Michael Morris of Mo.; two sisters, Karen Jestus of Kennett and Donna Edwards of Kennett; eleven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her father, D.W. Morris; two brothers, Donnie Morris and Jerry Morris; one sister, Carolyn Morris and one nephew: Timothy Morris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Abiding Peace Church, Kennett, Mo., with Sister Lee Weeks officiating. Interment will follow at Gregory Cemetery, Kennett. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 6-8 p.m. under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas.
