Bonnie Jean Franks

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Franks, 78, of Grant, Ala., died Sunday, July 3, 2011, at her home. She was the daughter of R.T. and Minnie Wilkey, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and was the widow of Dayton Franks.

She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Carolyn Kilpatrick, Marilyn Staple and Shirley Sharp; and by two brothers, Robert Wilkey and Herbert Wilkey.

She leaves three daughters, Barbara (and Thomas) Wicker of Michigan, Margaret (and Roland) Gibson of Alabama and Brenda Osborn of Arkansas;

Six sons, Henry (and Janet) Stapler, Kenny (and Jennette) Stapler and Thomas (and Heather) Franks, all of Arkansas, Larry Stapler of Alabama and William Carl (and Laural) Stapler of Michigan;

Three brothers, Rolly Wilkey of Florida, Hubert Wilkey and Thomas Wilkey, all of Arkansas; and

Thirty-two grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 3 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola with the Rev. Hal Mahan officiating. Burial will follow in Bassett Cemetery.
