Humbert Arce

Mr. Humbert Arce, 80, of Jonesboro, Ark., died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born May 16, 1931, in Tucson, Ariz., he was the son of the late Bert and Rita Bedoya Arce and had been a longtime resident of Tucson, Ariz., and worked at the Space Tech Lab for 29 years in California. Mr. Arce was of the Catholic faith, a member of the American Legion, Elks, and of the Knight of Columbus where he was twice the past Grand Knight and District Deputy. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and feeding and watching the birds.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Louise Rogers Arce of the home; one son, John Arce of Jonesboro, Ark.; two daughters, Sandra Lusk of Dunwoody, Ga., and Michael Ann Iverson and husband Allan of Irvine, Calif.; one sister, Lily Soto of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Gilbert and Edward Arce both of Tucson, Ariz. Mr. Arce also leaves 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Arce was preceded in death by two sons, Matthew and Douglas Arce, one daughter, Peggy Lynn Coleman; three brothers, Hector, Ray and George Arce.

The family has requested a private services and interment. Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.
