William C. Harris

Mr. William C. Harris, 64, of Blytheville, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born in Blytheville, he was the son of Brodie and Maefield Rayford Harris, and was raised in the Burdette Community. He was a graduate of Harrison High School. After high school, he served in the United States Army. After military service, he was employed at General Motors in Detroit.

His wife, Joann Adair Harris, preceded him in death in 2003.

He leaves a daughter, Ms. R-meana Harris of Nashville, Tenn.;

A brother, Robert Harris of Blytheville;

Four grandchildren, Icesis, Ariyah, Laylah and Jermearion; and

Many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home in Blytheville with the Rev. Laddie Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home.
