Allen Dale Rogers

Mr. Allen Dale Rogers, 55, of Leachville, passed from this life Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro following a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in Imboden, Allen was the son of the late Borden and Linnie Dickson Rogers and had lived most of his life in Leachville. He was a 1974 graduate of Leachville High School and owned and operated Allen Rogers Siding and Construction Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leachville. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Rogers.

Mr. Rogers leaves his wife, Mary Beth Wheeler of Leachville;

His daughters and sons-in-law, Kim Bibb of Jonesboro, Shanna Rogers of Denton, Texas, Angela and George Donoho of Lake City, Molly and Tony Johnson of Leachville, and Alison and Jack Milligan of Leachville.

Three brothers, Stan Rogers of Pocahontas, Ron Rogers of West Virginia and Rowdy Fortson of Paragould; and

Five grandchildren who lovingly called him "Grumpy."

Mr. Rogers so generously donated his body to the Department of Neurobiology and Developmental Sciences of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

A celebration of his life will be Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Leachville with the Revs. Doug Criss, Stan Rogers, Rowdy Fortson, and Ray Dill officiating. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.HowardFuneralService.com
