Jerald Deloy Fletcher

Jerald Deloy Fletcher, 82, of Jonesboro, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Mr. Fletcher was born July 25, 1928 at Lake City to the late Sparley and Lela Fletcher. He was a member of the University Heights Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include four daughters, DeLina Fletcher of Jonesboro, Linda Boyd of St. Louis, Mo., Rena Escue of Jonesboro, and Beverly McGinnis of Pocahontas; 14 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Brenda Edwards; and two sisters, Erma Short and Vivian Wells.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Rutherford Cemetery with Rev. Blackwood officiating. The family will receive visitors at University Heights Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. Pallbearers are Junior Hill, Germund Harris, Allen Biggers, Colby Edwards, Cotton Campbell, and Ray Hill.
