Katherine R. Brown

Katherine R. Brown, 66, of Manila, died May 27, 2011, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Sept. 30. 1944, in Etowah to the Rev. Rufus Henry Bradberry and Bernice Bradberry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Etowah Pentecostal Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Laymon Brown, and by three brothers, Jewell Bradberry, Shelby Lee Bradberry and Earl Bradberry.

She leaves two daughters, Theresa Brown of Manila and Lisa Kirk of Monette;

Three sisters, Polly Sayres of Collierville, Tenn., Pat Williams of Dayhoit, Ky., and Nadeen Sorrell of Manila;

One brother, Gerald Bradberry of Plant City, Fla.;

Three grandchildren, Ashley Salomon of Etowah, Joshua Kirk and Austin Kirk, both of Monette; and

Two great-grandchildren, Noel Salomon and Lyla Salomon, both of Etowah.

Funeral services will be at 10 am. Monday at the Etowah Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Huey Meherg officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
