Ralph Adron Phillips

Mr. Ralph Adron Phillips, 90, of West Memphis, formerly of Earle, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Born in Marked Tree to the late Ivy Hasselle Phillips and Carrie West Huss, he was a member of the United States Navy in World War II, a retired service manager for Ford Motor Company, and was of the Assembly of God faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Marine Phillips; his stepfather, Vester Huss; one daughter, Marolyn Russom; one sister, Glenda McCain; two brothers, Ivy Hasselle Phillips Jr. and Milton Huss; and two great grandchildren, John Keith Stephenson and Lexxton Kennemore Latham.

He leaves five daughters, Betty Craig and Patricia McGarrity of West Memphis, Barbara Bell and Debbie Phillips of Tumbling Shoals and Kathy Singleton of Marion;

One sister, Charlotte Blaylock of Willingston, Tenn.; and

Ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Clayton Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
