Pearl Young

Mrs. Pearl Young, 88, of Rison, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

She was the daughter of the late Eneree Sanders and Susie Gulley Sanders and a member of Bobby Myton Baptist Church in Rison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Young Jr.

She leaves three sons, J.D. Young Jr. of Pine Bluff, Bobby Young of Thorton, and Earl Young of Rison;

Seven daughters, Pearlene Johnson of Rison, Claudine Wells of Statesboro, Ga., Patsy Purifoy of Rockford, Ill., Susie Marshall of Blytheville, and Brenda Brown, Maxine Sterrett and Nadine Hoke, all of Pine Bluff;

One brother, Leotis Sanders, of Rosston;

One sister, Stella Loudermilk of Rockford, Ill;

Two grandchildren that she reared, Jackie Davis and John Young-Johnson of Little Rock; and

A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from noon-6 p.m. today at Mark Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church at 900 University Drive in Pine Bluff with the Rev. J.N. Nelson officiating.
