Maelean Horner Taylor

Mrs. Maelean Horner Taylor, 63, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born May 31, 1947, in Marianna, she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvertis Horner and Samella Andrews Horner; one daughter, Juanette Bronner; a sister, Veola Whitfield; and two brothers, Othelma Horner and Eveard Horner.

Mrs. Taylor leaves her husband, Robert Lee Taylor of Blytheville;

One daughter, Deveonnia Horner of Blytheville;

One son, Duwayne Horner of Blytheville;

Two sisters, Lillie Mitchell of Blytheville and Elvertis Thomas of Tacoma, Wash.;

Two brothers, Maxie Horner (and Doris) and Larry Horner (and Deborah), both of Blytheville;

An uncle, William Horner;

An aunt, Martha Bailey;

Four grandchildren, Sirrone Newbern and Sedrick Bronner of Tacoma, LaKesha Cook of Blytheville and Portia Horner of Conway; and

Three great-grandchildren, Ladarius Heard and Bournae Cook of Blytheville and Sirrane Newbern Jr. of Tacoma.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Anthony Burton, will be held at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
