Mrs. Lucille Moody, 89, of Paragould, formerly of the Lone Oak community near Blytheville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born in Russellville, Ala., to the late Dennis Arthur Smith and Lizzie Pearl Phillips Smith, she was a homemaker who loved to garden, sew, cook and work in her yard. She was also a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Beech Grove, and a longtime member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church in Blytheville.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Moody; and a son, Curtis Neal Moody.

Mrs. Moody leaves one daughter, Eunice Needham and her husband, James, of Paragould

Her grandchildren, Jeff N. Moody and his wife, Carolyn, of Jonesboro, James Needham Jr. of Paragould, Marty A. Needham and his wife, Angie, of Paragould and Glenn R. Moody and his wife, Deborah, of Dell; and

Seven great-grandchildren, Emily Rose Moody, Jenny Brooke Needham, Allison Renee Moody, Seth Curtis Moody, Carter Neal Moody, Tristen Wright and Katie Raelynn Needham.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay Hicks of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Beech Grove and the Rev. Mitchell King Jr. of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Blytheville officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cobb Funeral Home.
