Christine Overton Dorris

Mrs. Christine Overton Dorris, 73, of Blytheville, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Heritage Square Nursing Center in Blytheville.

She was a retired factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved working in the garden, yard and watching her grandchildren play ball, fishing and taking care of birds.

In addition to her parents, Bill Overton and Eva Mae Warren Overton, she was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, McKenleigh and Hannah Sanchez.

She leaves one daughter, Cathy (and Scott) Hudson of Palmdale, Calif.;

Three sons, Eddie (and Janet) Tucker of Sumpter, S.C., David (and Karen) Dorris of Gosnell and Wayne (and Michele) Dorris of Blytheville;

One sister, Georgia Cox of Enola, Ark.;

Junior Overton of Blytheville; and

Ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Russell and Bro. Robbie Cox officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
