Michael Bradley Phillips

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Mr. Michael Bradley Phillips, 54, passed from this life Saturday, April 30, 2011, at his home in Gosnell. Born to James Bradley and Jean Turner Phillips in Blytheville, he was a lifelong resident and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized. Michael was a retired produce manager with Price Chopper Food Market and also a part owner/operator of Bradley Produce in Blytheville.

Mr. Phillips was an individual who gave everything he had to the task at hand. He was a member of the Harley Hog Motorcycle Club, a very enthusiastic fan of NASCAR Racing with Dale Earnhardt Sr. being his favorite of all time but a Kyle Bush fan when it comes to current racers. The activities and hobbies that Michael enjoyed were fishing, rock and roll music, golf, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather and brother who loved his family and would light up whenever the grandchildren were around.

Mr. Phillips was also very proud of his service to our country in the United States Marine Corp. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country with honor, pride and a sense of loyalty that only our veterans of all services can truly understand. His favorite saying was "Semper Fi."

The greatest honor Michael received was accepting Jesus Christ as his savior and being baptized. It truly was an experience that changed him forever and for which he was so thankful to receive.

Michael was preceded in death by his father in 2001.

Mr. Phillips leaves his mother, Jean Turner Phillips of Gosnell;
