Charles Edward Thompson Jr., 54, of Osceola, died Saturday, April 16, 2011.

Born in St. Louis, he was a retired factory worker, a Mason and a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves his mother, Lillian Wilson of St. Louis;

His father and step-mother, Charles Thompson Sr. and Ruby Thompson of St. Louis;

His wife, Carolyn Thompson of Osceola;

One daughter, Melissa (and Perry) Jackson of Jonesboro;

Three sons, Christopher (and Marsha) Thompson of Columbia, Mo., Charles Edward (and Charity) Thompson of St. Louis, and Darrell (and Tina) Thompson of Blytheville;

Nine sisters, Kim Wilson, Carla (and Brian) Lesley, Rhonda Simmons, Tonette Tony, Tonda Bush, Sharon (and Mike) Williams and Nancy Johnson, all of St. Louis, Angie Thompson of Indianapolis and Danelia Burns of Florence, Mo.;

Seven brothers, Kevin Wilson of Kansas City, Mo., Glenn Wilson and Kipp Wilson, both of East St. Louis, Ill., Mac Henry Thompson, Charles Derrick Thompson, and Eric Thompson, all of St. Louis, and Sean Kincaid of Chicago; and

Ten grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery.
