Brenda Leslie Strickland

Mrs. Brenda Leslie Strickland, 70, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, in Jonesboro. Born in Monette to Floyd Harrison and Winona Lelia Milligan Leslie, she was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. She was a volunteer with Hope Circle of NEA Clinic in Jonesboro. She loved animals, traveling and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Floyd Wayne "Bud" Leslie.

She leaves her husband, Don Strickland of Jonesboro;

Her children, Kent Williams and wife, Christie, of Blytheville, James Strickland and wife, Tina, of Clinton, Tenn., and Linda Eghlidos and her husband, Mohammad, of Houston;

A brother, James "Heck" Leslie and wife, Earline, of Pontotoc, Miss.;

Three sisters, Linda Bobbit and husband, Don, of Rocky Mount, N.C., Sue Childers and husband, Danny, of Paris, Tenn., and Sherrie Hopper and husband Doyle "Buddy" of Blytheville;

Two grandchildren, Evan and Samuel Strickland; and

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Miles II officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, P.O.
