James Howard Glidewell

Mr. James Howard Glidewell, 59, of Monette, died on Monday, March 21, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center. Mr. Glidewell was born on July 30, 1951 in Campbell, Mo., to James C. and Margaret Thomas Glidewell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caraway, a retired State Trooper, enjoyed hunting, collecting guns and knives, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Glidewell of Caraway; three sons, Chris Glidewell of Benton, Ian Glidewell of Junction City, and John Glidewell of Monette; a sister, Myra Morris of Russellville; an aunt, Shirley Haywood and husband Junior of Piggott; an uncle, Ira Thomas and wife Norma of Harrison; two nieces, Heather Terry and Sarah Colley both of Little Rock; five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Glidewell was preceded in death by his father, James C. Glidewell.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caraway with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Faith Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
