Sidney Gene 'Jim' Johnson
Mr. Sidney Gene "Jim" Johnson, 65, of Manila, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Floe and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
He was a retired farmer and member of Etowah Pentecostal Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Franklin Johnson and Sadie Johnson; one son, Bobby Caldwell; one sister, Goldie McCallie; two brothers, Robert F. Johnson and James Johnson; and four sisters, Juanita Hatten, Lula Mae Henry, Joannie Pearl May and Goldie McCallie.
He leaves his spouse, Mary Johnson of Manila;
Two sons, Dennis (and Kim) Johnson of Jonesboro and Mark Johnson of Manila;
One sister, Loretta Bogard of Trumann;
Two brothers, William Thomas Johnson of Osceola and Johnny Johnson of Paragould;
Seven grandchildren; and
Three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bro. Huey Meherg officiating. Burial will follow at Manila Cemetery.
