Bonnie Mae Garrett Cathey

Mrs. Bonnie Mae Garrett Cathey, 85 of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at her home. Born in Holland, Mo., to Richard and Dessie Pearl Chism Garrett, she was an avid dog lover and enjoyed reading, crocheting and working Bent and Wiggley puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willis E. Cathey; two brothers, Thomas "Tom" and William Richard Garrett; and a sister, Mary May.

She leaves a daughter, Tena Burke of Cincinnati;

A niece and caregiver, Ella Mae Gilmer of Jonesboro;

Her cousins, Beulah Bazemore of Blytheville and Bessie Beaver of Morris, Okla.;

Two grandchildren, Andrea Burke and Shawn Norsman;

Two great-grandchildren, Adam Burke and Leslie Norsman; and

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
