Joe Paschal

Joe Paschal of Montgomery, Texas, passed away on Jan. 19, 2011. He was born on April 23, 1934 in Dell and lived in Blytheville, Jonesboro, Poplar Bluff, Mo., Paducah, Ky. and retired to the Houston area in 1994. Joe served our country in the US Army from 1956-1958.

He enjoyed a successful career in the insurance industry spanning 3 decades and established Four States Claims Services in Paducah, Ky.

Joe was an avid boater and enjoyed spending time on the water with family and friends. Some of his fondest memories were of time spent on his houseboat on Kentucky Lake. He had a strong sense of adventure and enjoyed travel and new experiences.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Austin Paschal and daughters Lisa Paschal-Alcorn (John Alcorn) of Naperville, Ill. and Anita Paschal (Erik Botsford) of The Woodlands, Texas, brothers Russell Paschal of Memphis, Tenn. and David Paschal of Dell and sister Reida Paschal Marshall of Wilson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lilly Ragsdale Paschal and his father, Homer Paschal of Dell, his brothers Roger Paschal of Chicago, Ill., Dan Paschal of Chicago, Ill. and sisters Ruth Paschal Tosh of Jonesboro and Rose Mary Paschal Flemming of Keiser.

A memorial service will be held in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, 603 West Main Street, in Blytheville on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. Rev. Greg Bowers will officiate with Interment immediately following in Elmwood Cemetery. Condolences may be emailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
