Clarence Paul White, 90, of Imboden, formerly of Manila, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Walnut Ridge. Born at Walnut Ridge he was the son of the late R.T. and Minnie Ann Shride White and had been a longtime Manila area resident before making his home in Imboden about 12 years ago. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, retired farmer and electrician and member of the First United Methodist Church in Imboden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Matthews White in 2004, an infant son, James Paul White, five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons Dr. Jackie White and his wife Kay of Imboden and Joey White and his wife Jan of Granview, Texas; a brother, Jewel White of Silsbee, Texas; two granddaughters, Charlotte Franks and her husband Joshua and Rebekah White.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church in Imboden with Rev. Bob McMillon officiating. A graveside service followed at 3 p.m. in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
