Mr. Henry Wesley Jackson, age 68 of Manila died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Mr. Jackson was born to the late Ed and Susan Johnston Jackson on October 10, 1941, in Heber Springs and was a resident of Manila since 1953.

Mr. Jackson was a United States Air Force Vietnam War veteran and was also a retired machine specialist for American Greeting after 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, scratching lottery tickets and spending time with his wife Joyce Merriman Jackson of the home; two sons, Charles W.E. Jackson and wife Patty of Manila and James W. Jackson and wife Gina of Jonesboro; two daughters, Sherry Farrar and husband Tony of Leachville and Susan Riley and husband Jamie of Manila; a sister, Fran Ashabranner and husband Chester of Manila; a sister-in-law: Ermilee Jackson of Leachville. He also leaves five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and riends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Timothy Parks and Paul Vincent Riley; a brother, Leonard Jackson; two sisters, Lillie M. Jackson and Lena Mae Jackson; and two half-sisters, Ginny Holliman and Essie Holliman.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Wesley Chapel in Pearson, Ark., with Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Interment was at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday July 14, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service in Manila. Pallbearers were Thurman Hitchcock, Markie Lee Jackson, Jr., Jamie Riley, Sr., Tony Farrar, Jr., Steven Massey and Randy Parks.
