BIS students learn value of CPR

Ashleigh Rogers of Batesville, the Lights of the Delta's Outstanding Teen, recently visited the members of Blytheville Intermediate School's Boys' and Girls' Club to talk to them about the importance of knowing how to administer CPR. With Rogers at BIS was Jennifer Shaw, a CPR trainer who is also from Batesville. Rogers demonstrated CPR maneuvers on a "dummy" in front of the students, and then Shaw invited each of the children to practice on it. At right, Shaw is helping Beulah Campbell with her CPR technique.
