Roxie Opal Dunkin, 91, of Greers Ferry, formerly of Carroll's Corner (near Manila) died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, in Heber Springs. Born at Wappapello, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Roger and Addie Wilson Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Dunkin, two sons, Everett and Ferrell Dunkin, and her daughter, Carroll Brown.

Mrs. Dunkin, along with her late husband, owned and operated Dunkin's Grocery at Carroll's Corner for many years. She was a long-time faithful member of Carroll's Corner United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Bronzell Dunkin, and his wife Ann of Greers Ferry; a brother, Melford Morgan, and his wife Laverne of Carroll's Corner; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with burial in the Manila Cemetery.

The family received visitors from 11 a.m. Friday until time of service.
