Dorothy Jean Timms, 76, of Lake City, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at her home. Born at Scranton, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Orville and Floy Johnson Jones and had lived most of her life in Lake City. The widow of Nolen Timms, she was retired from the Parker-Hannifan Company in Trumann, and was a member of the Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Angel Timms.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Timms of Bono, Gary Timms of Lake City, and Tony Timms of Lake City; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cain Island Cemetery near Lake City with Rev. Boyd Hosman and Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.

The family received visitors form 6-7 p.m. Friday evening at the First Baptist Church in Lake City with an evening service beginning at 7 p.m.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Winford, Anthony Timms, Chris Timms, Chad Timms, Ryan Timms, Brett Timms, and Brad Timms.
