Melissa Irene Choate

Melissa Irene Choate, 73, of Manila, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born near the Dell Community, she had been a lifelong Manila area resident and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josh and Gertie Foster; two sons, Robert Dale Choate and Daniel Lee Choate; three brothers, Bill Foster, Clyde Foster, and Tommy Foster; and a sister, Helen Foster.

She is survived by two sons, John Choate and Bruce Choate; two daughters, Becky McFall and Sue Moore; three sisters; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. The family received visitors from 1 p.m. until service time.
