Jerry Wayne Crigler, 69, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born May 18, 1939, in Black Oak to the late Grover and Minnie Crigler.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Crigler of Little Rock and Kenny Crigler of Lake City; two daughters, Tressa Tompkins (Garrett) of Carlisle and Trina Crigler of Jonesboro; three brothers, Leon Crigler of Sledge, Miss., Bobby Crigler of Fayetteville and Noble Crigler of Viola; a sister, Bonnie Craft of Tallalah, La.; and two grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Touchstone Crigler; a sister, Mary Ruth Cupid; and a grandson, Gunner Nelson.

A celebration of his life was held at 1 p.m. March 10 at the First Baptist Church in Lake City with Rev. T.B. Smith and Jason Goad officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Winford, Jackie Winford, Larry Crigler, Richie Holden, Dennis Holden and Ricky Crigler and as honorary pallbearers, Jerry Holden, Jim Fletcher, Dub Armstrong, Paul Moore, Rick White, J. Blaxton and Billy Anderson.
