Patricia Gale Carter, 65, of Caraway, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Dec. 26, 1943, in Manila to the late Lester Andrews and Zola Griffin, she was a homemaker and a member of Milligan Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Carter, Sr.; a grandson, Michael Carter II; a brother, Melvin Andrews; and a sister, Erna Joan Denbow.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Graig Stull of Jonesboro, Lisa and Larry Rupp of Jonesboro, and Donna and William Boatman of Caraway; four sons and daughters-in-law, Delbert and Joyce Carter of Manila, Amos and Michelle Carter, Jr. of Stuttgart, Michael and Glenda Carter of Manila, and David Yancey of Jonesboro; two brothers, Cletis Andrews of Missouri and Darrell Andrews of Mississippi; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The visitation was held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Manila Cemetery with Brother Waymon Holt and Brother Graig Stull officiating. Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge.
