Florence O. Wilkerson

Florence O. Wilkerson, 83, of Leachville died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at Monette Manor. She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Newport to the late Carrol and Lillie Vinson. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Wilkerson of the home; children, Alice and Elbert Junyor of Jonesboro, Christine and Tony Fuller of Searcy, Linda and Roy Bush of Brookland, Kathy and David Guy of Jonesboro, Wayne and Barbara Wilkerson of Joplin, Mo., Larry Wilkerson, Ronnie and Sheila Wilkerson, all of Leachville, and Sammie and Mandy Wilkerson of Jonesboro; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Wilkerson, and a daughter, Irene Wilkerson.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Monette Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Stull officiating. Gregg Funeral Home of Monette was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Wilkerson, Scott Junyor, Donnie Easley, Travis Vanoven, Steven Vanoven, Jonathan Decker and Jimmy Guthrie.
