Nora Jesteene Hinson

Nora Jesteene Hinson, 89, formerly of Monette, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro. She was born Nov. 2, 1918 in Gurdon to the late James and Ocie Chrisman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Wanda and Charles McCrackin and Brenda and Cecil Gulley all of Jonesboro; two sons and their wives, Mike and Cindy Hinson of Jonesboro and Rick and Susan Hinson of Jackson, Tenn.; two daughters-in-law, Sheila Hinson and Diane Pillow, both of Paragould; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hinson; two sons, Lavon Hinson and Dwynne Hinson; a grandson, Curtiss Gulley, and a brother, Leon Chrisman.

A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Revs. Glen Putman and Jerry Parker officiating. Burial was in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony McCrackin, Wesley Hinson, Brad Hinson, Ronnie Hinson, Scott Hinson, Terry Hinson, Barry Hinson, David Hinson, Charlie Hinson, Kenneth Gulley and Casey Hinson.
