Dallas Ray Foster, 77, of Wilson died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at his home. Born Jan. 19, 1931, in Corning to the late Pete David and Ona Ann Foster, he was of the Baptist faith and a factory worker.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Thompson Foster, of Wilson; four sons, Danny Foster of Dyess, Ronnie Foster of Manila, Rickey Foster of Joiner and Michael Foster of Batesville; a daughter, Linda Foster of Manila; two sisters, Bernice Tice of Greenville, Miss., and Pauline Fletcher of California; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Betty Foster, Earline Craig, and Effie Mae Foster; four brothers, Homer Foster, Everett Foster, David Foster and Junior Foster.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Roller-Swift chapel with Brother Larry Deaton officiating. Burial was in the Bassett Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Swift Funeral Home.
