Bill Redman, 73, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born June 6, 1935, in Milligan Ridge to the late Harvey and Jennie Redman. He was a retired farmer who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.

He is survived by two brothers, James Redman and Richard Redman, both of Caraway; three sisters, Ollie Bratten of Hardy, Paulette Fry of Black Oak and Betty Sue Pipkin of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by five sisters.

A celebration of his life was held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elvis Poe Jr., Kenny Weathers, Jerry Qualls, Phillip Hurst, Matt Hurst, Ronnie Hurst and Gary Don Hurst. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Shasteen, Eddie Lloyd, Kermit McCord, Joe Brewer, Jim Brewer and John Brewer.
