Ruby Eilene Holt

Ruby Eilene Holt, 91, of Lake City died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She had lived most of her adult life in the Lake City area, moving to the Eastern District of Craighead County at an early age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Holt; her parents, Audie and Wes Doty; and two grandchildren. She was of the Pentecostal belief.

She is survived by six sons, Paul Wesly Doty, Lake City, Howard Holt, Monette, Danny Holt, Hughes, Billy Wayne Holt and James Holt, Pontiac, Ill., Charles Ray Holt, Weston, Ill.; a daughter, Nadine VanKirk, Lake City; two brothers, Leland Doty, Bay, and John Wesley Doty, Trumann; 31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Lake City Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
