Services for Carlos G. Pounds, 65, of Monette, were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Mount Sharon Presbyterian Church in Adamsville with burial in Pounds Cemetery.  Mr. Pounds, a life insurance agent for over 35 years, passed away on March 3, 2008 in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of the Mount Sharon Presbyterian Church in Adamsville, Tenn., and he faithfully attended the Rowe Chapel Baptist Church in Caraway. He loved spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Tim Flannigan of Monette; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lina Pounds of Anchorage, Alaska and Cory and Sherry Pounds of Manila; a sister and brother-in-law, Regenia and David Smith of Adamsville, Tenn.; a special friend, Pat Meacham of Gosnell; nine grandchildren, Richard Todd Pounds of Jonesboro, Robe Lyn Pounds and John Robert Pounds both of Anchorage, Alaska, Shane Flannigan of Charleston, South Carolina; Chelsea Flannigan of Birmingham, Ala., Corie Flannigan of Monette, Hannah Pounds and Bailey Pounds both of Gosnell, and Madison Brodie of Manila.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pounds was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Gail Pounds; two brothers, Don Pounds and Winston Pounds.
