Louise "Girr" Flagg, 94, of Manila, the widow of George Cleo Flagg, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at the Manila Nursing Center in Manila. Born at Clarksville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ella Dunham Bumbalough and had been a lifelong Manila area resident. She was a retired nurses aide, charter member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church, member of Calvary Baptist Church in Manila, longtime member of the Extension Homemaker Club, and member of the Business and Professional Women's Club.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Flagg; two brothers, Lawrence Bumbalough and James Bumbalough; four sisters, Lorene May, Mae Manley, Easter Ferris and Opal Blackard; two stepbrothers, Elton Barnett and Clyde "Shorty" Barnett.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Flagg, and his wife, Brenda, of Manila, and Sammy Flagg, and his wife, Mignonne, of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Jean Trieschman of Blytheville; four grandchildren, Veronica Sammons, George Flagg, Michael Flagg and Melissa Flagg; and three great-grandchildren, April McClelland, Nathan Sammons and Erin Flagg.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Brother Waymon Holt and Brother Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Kenneth Cole, Jarred Russell, Bobby L. Barker, Willis Lambert, Matthew Jackson and Ricky Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Ashabranner, Carnell Parker, Bob Acord, Epter Lambert, Loy Jackson and Elton Steele.
